Lydia Kemunto, an Oxford PhD grad, and an alumni of the United Nations and World Bank, quit her job about a year ago to create 8B Education Investment Fund, an informational and lending service that gives out loans to African students who want to attend top universities in the US and Europe. Africa has one of the lowest enrollment rates in higher education institutions in the world; even worse is the enrollment of African students in global universities.
