My Home Birth Story

I'm proud to say that I delivered my first baby at home on May 4th 2020 during the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. After being a labor and delivery nurse for 5 years I felt pulled to hire a midwife and labor at home so I wouldn't be tempted to use interventions like an epidural. This felt like the safest choice for me and my baby. Even though it was a rough 4 days of nonstop pain I was able to naturally have my son in my bedroom with the help of my midwife, her assistant, my boyfriend and my birth photographer.  Listen to the episode to hear the raw behind-the-scene of what an empowered spiritual and drug free birth really looks like!
