Premiere: Yant - Cut Loose (Platform 22 - PTLM011)

He's one of two artists, the other being Dutch producer Hitam, to feature on Platform 22's latest Shedding Bark Split EP. Yant's track Cut Loose is a warping, beautifully crafted piece of techno. The track's title is something of an Onomatopoeia. It sounds like Yant really did cut loose on this one. It's a shame the majority of clubs are closed. I can picture people moving to this is with all the cathartic fervour a dancefloor can provide. The warping lead moves over a thick, powerful kick. Cut Loose's low-end sound pressure would shake buildings apart when played on a club sound system. I for one can't wait to give this a spin.
