What electric vehicles mean for consumers

Henry Ford's first production line marked the biggest revolution in motoring since 1913. Now many industry observers believe we have already passed the tipping point where sales of electric vehicles (EVs) will rapidly overwhelm petrol and diesel cars. But is there enough support for the electric car market, as the government sets out to ban new petrol and diesel sales in 2030?
