Storming of Brazilian Congress condemned

Hundreds of rioters have been arrested after supporters of former far-right leader Jair Bolsonaro invaded key democratic institutions. The security breach at the heart of Brazilian democracy has drawn comparison with the 6th January 2021 attack on the US Capitol by followers of Donald Trump. There has been international condemnation of the scenes in Brasilia.
