Sheila Hancock's early letters to the BBC

The BBC is about to celebrate its centenary and this week we’ll be looking back at 100 years of broadcasting. Today's sports presenter Garry Richardson began his BBC career working at the Written Archives centre which holds a collection of BBC papers, including scripts, and personal letters by Britain’s best known actors and performers. Garry unearthed Sheila Hancock’s earliest letters to the BBC and showed them to her 70 years later. (IMAGE CREDIT:Loftus)
