The health watchdog NICE is recommending the use of the hormone progesterone which helps strengthen the lining of the womb. It's estimated that one in four pregnancies are lost - mostly in the first three months. The advice is based on research done in the PRISM trial. Today’s Martha Kearney spoke to one of the women who took part in the trial, Faye Smith. Also speaking on the programme is Professor Gillian Leng who’s the Chief Executive of NICE.
