President Biden has said he stands "squarely" behind his decision to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan in a speech a day after the Taliban seized control of the country. Videos and images on social media have shown Afghans desperately attempting to flee the country. Mishal Husain speaks to Khaled Hosseini, the award winning author of The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, who was born in Kabul. Both books depict the horrifying experiences of young people in Afghanistan during the rise of the Taliban.
