After 19 children and two teachers were tragically killed by a gunman in Uvalde, Texas America’s gun laws are once again under scrutiny. President Biden has called for gun reform in the wake of the attack but many Republicans stand firm against any restrictions. Texas has also recently passed several laws which make it easier to access guns. The BBC’s Barbara Plett Usher reports from a vigil in Uvalde for those killed in the shooting. Also on the programme speaking to Mishal Husain was Republican Congressman Pete Sessions who is also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. (Image Credit: EPA)
