Andrew Garfield on his Oscar nomination and Tick, Tick... Boom!

Andrew Garfield has received an Oscar nomination for his role as Jonathan Larsen in Tick, Tick... Boom! which is based on the stage musical of the same name and written by Larsen about his early struggle as a composer. Jonathan Larsen is best known for Rent, one of Broadway's longest running shows. This autobiographical musical drama film directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda in his feature directorial debut. In the role, Andrew Garfield sings and dances despite having never been in a musical before and speaks to Today's Martha Kearney about what it was like taking on the role. (Image credit: Netflix)
