This is understood when we learn how to dissolve the psychological elements that keep our awareness conditioned and "asleep". In the beginning, the technique in this audio may feel like an "intellectual exercise", but with consistent effort, the practice will move into "the heart". Then we can apply this type of "cultivated self-illuminating awareness" more intuitively to every ego-perception that presents itself to the canvas of the mind, profoundly deepening and accelerating our journey of Self-realization. This type of meditation shows us, in a deep way, the difference between thoughts and awareness. Most of us are trapped in thoughts, very few know how to truly live in awareness. To think that we can go immediately into a permanent state of awakened consciousness is a fallacy of the mind. We must first learn about ourselves through in-depth self-comprehension. Then can we gradually liberate the mind from the many psychological elements and identifications that we call the ego. This is akin to shining a torch in a dark corridor to reveal the path ahead of us. In other words, we learn to shine the light of consciousness into the darkness of ego. After completing this meditation, pay attention to your dreams when you next sleep, as it’s expected you would have “shifted” a lot of things internally and it’s likely that more answers to self-comprehension may come in the form of powerful symbols and metaphors. These types of vivid dreams include hidden clues from the Astral to help you understand your soul’s challenges in a deeper way.
