CECILIA ROGER: embroidery artist + paleographer / embracing the details

From her teenage years surrounded by haute couture in Milan, Cecilia Roger has always had an eye for luxurious details. Initially, she trained her eye to spot the details in ancient manuscripts as a paleographer. Even though she transitioned to handling the details of the family wine business, Cecilia’s hands were always busy with a different kind of detail—sewing and embroidery. Cecilia still makes exquisitely embroidered and beaded handbags but has also embraced the meticulous details of Japanese embroidery.Find Cecilia:Website: www.japaneseembroideryacademy.comWebsite:  www.ceciliaroger.com Instagram:  @ceciliaroger    Mentioned:Saanen, Switzerland (visit) Teatro alla Scala (visit) Paleography (learn)   “Hands are the exit of the spirit.” (learn) Kakejiku, Japanese hanging scrolls (learn) Japanese Embroidery Center/ Atlanta, Georgia, US (learn)Nuido, The Way of Embroidery (learn)Cecilia's Online Classes (explore) Find Me, Kristy Darnell Battani: Website:    https://www.kristybattani.com Instagram:  kristybattaniart Facebook:  kristybattaniart Did you enjoy this episode?
