On March 22, 2010, 23-year-old Nokesville, Virginia resident Shane Donahue was having a good day. He had just gotten paid $5,000 in cash for installing ceiling tiles at a local business. He was with his buddy, Timothy Hickerson, who helped him with the job. The friends went over to Shane’s parents’ house for a while before getting into Timothy’s truck and heading off.
