Stop Spreading Fake News by Talking in Extremes

Language that makes things seem extreme. And in the humanitarian and development world, there is PLENTY to exaggerate. "The donor always delivers proposals late." "The community is never on time." "My team doesn't communicate with me." These sound like factual statements, but when we look closer, they are actually not true. They are exaggerated statements that make us feel strong emotions.  And strong emotions lead us to poor decision making. So how can we "fact check" ourselves and our teams to eliminate drama and make decisions from a calmer, more rational place? Find out in this podcast episode.
