Improve your credit because if you have very bad credit or little to no credit history, your odds of getting approved for a car loan can be greatly improved with a co-signer, but why depend on someone else for a tangible item that you cannot afford and is a depreciating asset? Work on fixing bad habits, cut back on spending, save, and create budget plans/goals. The process starts with you. In most cases, no one wants to cosign for someone due to liability concerns.   Why is that? Cosigning can put someone at real financial risk and serious damage a relationship.
