The Lunar New Year holiday will subdue Asian markets this week. Before the pandemic the Lunar New Year was becoming a distortion to European, UK, and US data, as the moveable holiday was not properly included in seasonal adjustment. The pandemic shocks to goods demand have overwhelmed that distortion for now.
