Panthers Take Game 1 3-0 Behind Bob's Stellar Play. First time leading the SCF

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Nich Fairbanks(@Prudentia0) onto the show to breakdown the Panthers' 3-0 win in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. The Oilers controlled play for a majority of the contest, but the Panthers were opportunistic on the night with their limited scoring chances as they scored in each period in Game 1. Panthers got on the board 3:59 into the first off a 3-on-2 rush in whcih Carter Verhaeghe finished to get to his 10th goal of the postseason. They also got another goal early into the second period where on Sam Bennett's dump and chase, where Bennett got on the forecheck, centered it to Evan Rodrigues in the slot and Florida took a 2-0 lead 2:16 into the 2nd. Panthers capped it off with an empty net goal by Eetu Luostarinen with less than 5 seconds left to give the Panthers the 1-0 series lead in the Final, a first in franchise history. Edmonton had more power plays, high danger chances, and breakaways, and it was still not to get past Sergei Bobrovsky as he stole the show in game 1. The Oilers only had two line combinations that outshot their opposition by more than one at 5-on-5 on the night, and both of them were with Connor McDavid as a part of it.
